It was the lesbians that made you click to read this, wasn’t it!
We have the computer back now. We went with a different company this time and the girl was awesome! She charged us $100 less than the other computer repair guy and we had her do more work for us than the other guy. We had her take a look at our fried hard drive that the guy claimed was not recoverable. Turns out it WAS recoverable and she did not charge us for it! So, the computer is working great now. She also said she would be more than happy to reformat the old hard drive and install it for $50. So, we’d have 360 gigs total. Oh, and that other guy who said the old drive was trashed and could not be fixed so we had to buy a new one….well, he charged us $70 for an 80 gig drive. This lady told us it should have been more like $20 bucks! We also found out you can buy a 500 gig drive for like $130!! That guy ripped us off so bad. The lady actually asked us if we’d mind telling her who he was and what company he worked for. Anyway, the point is the computer is fixed for a lot cheaper than we anticipated and works great. She even gave us virus software for free. Which is good because ours was really out of date. That lady and her company were awesome and we will definately use her again for our computer needs. Plus, she is a big cat lover. Also, Jeremy thinks she was a lesbian which made everything in his life better in his book. ( For those of you who do not know my wonderful bisexual boyfriend, Jeremy – He loves lesbians! Most of his female acquaintances have been lesbians. He prefers them to men and other women. He finds them far more interesting and better company. He likes them in a box or with a fox. In a house or with a mouse. Here or there. Anywhere! As for me, I prefer to hang out with gay men. He finds that strange for some reason. )
Oh, we finally starting painting the kitchen cabinets. They’re nowhere near finished but we have the base color on and drying.
I’ll be adding a light grey where the white is and the walls will be this color purple: with black trim.
The kitchen island will be black purple and dark grey stripes. Then I’ll get to hang the black Betty Page shelf up finally!
Oh, I never did post this but our asian grocery store had bulk tofu for really cheap. Like $5. So, we’ve been in tofu heaven for a little while. I just put each block into a plastic ziplock bag, dated it, and froze them. So all I have to do is take a block of tofu out of the freezer and put it in the fridge to thaw a few hours before cooking it. It get a yellowish color to it and gets very “spongy” since its out of water but it still tastes great. Then all I have to do is press out what little water is left in the block and cut it up. Very quick and easy. I find I like tofu better when its been in a freezer. Its much easiers to cook with because its firmer and seems to absorb the flavor of things better. Thats just my opinion though, I know there are many other people who dislike the texture and taste of tofu after its been frozen. Jeremy seems to not be minding it either which is good. He is a picky vegetarian, most of the time.
Craft-wise, I haven’t been up to much lately. I made this toothbrush holder out of scraps (polymer clay) but I still need to paint it black and attach the “branches” to it that will hold other toothbrushes. This is just the base of it.
I also made this quick simple little bookmarker for my SLASH BOOK. That’s right, another piece to add to my collection! To say I idolize SLASH is putting it nicely. I’m going to need a spare room soon for all my SLASH and GUNS N ROSES stuff. That’s perfectly okay with me, of course, but we’ll see how Jeremy feels about that! This SLASH book is fucking awesome though! I knew it would be but still. His life is really funny, entertaining, and to use his word, excessive. Which makes it all the better to read. I was so excited to find out he had written a book about himself. I’ve been waiting for him to do that since leaving guns all those years ago.
(I have the jacket up on a hutch in our bedroom so it doesn’t get fucked up while I read the book. I do this with all my books. I can’t open the books all the way to read either since it fucks with the binding. I’m sort of a weird book nerd about stuff like that. )

The only other thing I’ve been up to is chopping my hair again. I got sick of it, again. It was just starting to reach my shoulder and I could finally put it up but…It had to go.
