A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
This blog was mainly supposed to be here for life updates for family and friends since we moved out of our home state. As well as things pertaining to our interests, hobbies, and that sort of thing. Instead, it sort of became a “rant blog” where I could just vent frustrations in life. After a while though, I thought of just getting rid of it. Hence the haphazard posting habits for so long. I was pretty set on closing it down. Recently, I’ve made the decision to keep the blog and attempt to turn it into what it was originally meant for. I will still vent on here, I’m sure of that. However, I’m hoping to also provide some sort of interesting or entertaining posts too. Hopefully, the interesting posts will be much more frequent than any whiny bitching. I’ll also be posting a lot of these posts on facebook, as many people from facebook do not read this blog but I still want to share certain things with them as well. So if you come from facebook, you’ll see a lot of “double” posts. Mainly regarding politics.
So, on to the point of this post….
A Tale of Two Sisters (2003)
Jeremy and I watched this Korean horror flick a long time ago but I thought it was worth mentioning on here. Its really nothing special, and very similar to the American film “The Others”. However, the visuals, in my personal opinion, are much better and the plot is more entertaining. Its much darker than “The Others”. I’m not sure I can describe this film in any detail without giving away what it is about. Which, you won’t know until the end of the movie. Since I am somebody who not stand knowing about a film before I watch it, I won’t tell you what it is about. Only that, as mentioned, it has a similar plot to the “The Others”. I’m also not very good at reviewing things. There are plenty of people out there who can do it better. I do encourage you to the watch this film or look up some reviews. Just avoid any spoilers! We re-watched this film once we knew what was going on and it really took away from the film, in my opinion. This film is meant to confuse you until the end when you find out the point of the movie, knowing that ahead of time really dampens the atmosphere of it.

Uzumaki (2000)
If you are ever looking for a crazy Japanese horror movie to watch look no further than ‘Uzumaki’. It is definitely different. Undecided if I like it or not. The visuals are cool. Whatever filter they used to film this, I wants it! Everything has a wonderful dark and dreary feel/look to it. Which to me, is a must in a horror flick. If a movie is supposed to thrill and chill you, get rid of all the bright/flashy spectrum of colors. I want to SEE the fear, if that makes sense to anybody. I hope it does because, I’m sure how to explain it. When I see a horror movie that is filled with everyday bright and vividness, it really tones down the chill factor to me. I’m not saying it has to be black and white, although love love love black and white films. It just needs to look eerie, not like they could have filmed it on the street outside my house. Anyway, back to the movie. It is a tad hard to follow at times, a little cheesy, and surprisingly kind of funny in a “What the Fuck???” way, not a comical way. More like its confusing and cheesy and your not sure how to react so you just laugh. Enjoyable and strange to watch once. Probably wouldn’t watch it again though.

Welcome Viktor To Our Family
We just got back from a great 2 week visit to Pennsylvania. It was great to see everybody again. Had a lot of fun visiting the Bloom Fair for the first time in almost 8 or 9 years. I love getting to visit home every year.
Every time we visit Pennsylvania we get to see Chris and Kelly’s ferrets. They have quite a few and we always enjoy watching them play. Ferrets are hilarious to watch interacting with each other. And they are so cute. This past visit Chris and Kelly took us to Petco to see the baby ferrets. Surprise, Surprise, we feel in love.
So welcome our 4th and newest little baby, Viktor The Viking.

Our “ferocious viking” ferret Viktor is only 2 1/2 months old. He was born July 18th, 2010. He is a biter. He seems to love biting us and the kitties above all else. He is extremely headstrong. I’ve read ferrets have a short attention span. Viktor does not. If we block off an area of the house from him, like under the recliner, he will spend an hour or more trying to figure out a way under it. He is a terrific explorer. Should you attempt to divert his attention, he will run and bite you then go back to what he was doing. If you need to scruff him, he will attack the second he is let loose. He will spring back and forth nipping at you and charging you. (So cute!) He is also very independent. He doesn’t want to be held and cuddled, he wants left alone to attack cats and explore. Viktor is very dominant. His toys are HIS toys, His cage is HIS cage, the cats’ toys are HIS toys. He loves trying to dominate us and the cats by attempting to roll us over. So far, that is a second favorite activity of his. The second he leaves his cage, he wages war on whatever or whom ever is closest. He is absolutely adorable and we love him. We couldn’t ask for a cooler ferret. Viktor is a perfect, strong name for such a “fierce brute” creature.

Viktor's Cage - Thanks to Chris and Kelly for this!
