Spent some time today sketching out a layout for our garden in the backyard. I really like it so far but, I need to get some ideas from Jeremy on what he wants the garden to look like. Then we can mix them together into a final plan.
I did a tiny bit of knitting yesterday. I’m making a bright orange tea towel with bats on it. It is going to take me forever to finish it because I don’t have the patience to just sit and knit. I am going to try to have it finished by closing day on the house. I doubt that will happen but who knows.
Tittie boy hasn’t shit in the dining room in two whole day. I feel like we should celebrate or buy him a treat but that isn’t going happen. I tried giving him treats once when he hadn’t shit in the house all day…He vomited a trail of treats, cat food, and water (I’m guessing) from the kitchen into the dining room. The house stunk the rest of the night. Turns out, of course, that particular brand of treats isn’t good on his stomach. So, we still ended the day with cleaning up a mess in the dining room. I love how cats shit or vomit and then sit right beside it or near it and watch you clean it up with such an amused/interested look on their face. The bastards just know they run the house.
Yesterday I finished a project I was working on for a friend. Autumn’s boyfriend Gary is really into the anime Death Note. We love it too. Gary wanted a necklace charm sized Death Note notebook he could wear around his neck and write in. I made the front and back covers of the Death Note out of black polymer clay and then attempted to bind the pages to them. It came out awful. I am horrid at book binding. I did not line up the holes in the paper right with the holes in covers so I ended up snapping a bunch of holes in the polymer clay. I could not think of a way to fix it so I had to start over. I’m now finished with my third attempt. It still looks horrible but I’m sending it to him anyway.
I also spent a few hours glued to my Nintendo DS playing Zelda. I’m so damn addicted to that game. Not as bad as Jeremy is but still pretty bad. I played it for almost 4 hours before I could finally tear myself away to go sort laundry and do the dishes. 4 hours isn’t too bad though. Me and Jeremy have had all day and night marathons frequently. We would play from the time we got up to the time we went to bed 14 hours later. Even played while eating and using the bathroom. So 4 hours isn’t horrible but I try to stay away from it during the week so that I actually do things around the house. Its very hard. It’s like sitting a crack rock next to a junkie and telling him to behave himself while you go to work. You just know the second you walk out that door he is fucked. Its so hard to quit when the object of your addiction is sitting right there staring you in face all day. Portable video games are last time I should ever have in my house. At least with an NES you had to sit your ass in front the television and play. Then you HAD to move to do things like shit or get food. With portable games…your screwed. You just take it from room to room accomplishing nothing. The only thing I have yet to be able to do with it is shower while playing. Although, I suppose I could just stop showering all together and lay in bath with my DS. Hell if I just dump enough soap and essential oils in the bath I won’t even have to take my hands away from the game to clean myself.
Our inspection for the house is Monday. I wish we could just have the fucking thing already. I can not wait to kill it! The owner completely remodeled the house when they put it up for sale. I can hardly wait to start the “de-remodeling” process. The entire house is white. The only color in the house is the light beige carpet in the living room. I wanted to do an edward scissorhands castle type thing in the living room but I think that would cost to much. Maybe later. Anyway, at the inspection on Monday I’m going to take a bunch of pictures of the house so I can post some on here. Its not a great house but it will do for a few years. Its just so fucking small! It hardly has any closets and the few closets it does have are like 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep. Its sick. I have no idea where me and Jeremy’s cloths are going to be kept. I hate dressers but I think we will have to buy 6 of them. Though I’m not sure where we would fit them since the bedrooms are crazy tiny. Anything more than a bed, nightstand, and dresser and you would not be able to walk in the damn things. I have no idea how this house is going to work! I also can’t wait to see how the neighbors react to the “freaks” moving into their quiet little neighborhood. Should prove comical for a bit. Especially when they see me and Jeremy all dressed up to go gardening in our backyard at 3 am carrying a boom box playing The Cure. We drove past the other day around 11pm and the whole street was completely dark and quiet.
**Update** 7/23/2008
Our next door neighbor is really nice…and a pastor. Lol. All the neighbors have been really nice and keep the staring to a minimal. We hate the house but the neighborhood is cool so far.
