Big box of Gevalia goodies
A couple weeks ago we got an offer in the mail to try out Gevalia’s coffee. We decided to give it a shot in order to get a new coffee pot. The one we bought a few months ago takes forever to brew. The introductory offer was $10 for two half pounds of coffee, free shipping, and free gifts. Sounded like a good deal plus, some of their coffee isn’t too expensive. Around $6/pound. I think shipping is around $5/shipment. We also liked that you can control the frequency of the shipments. You can get coffee delivered every week, or every two weeks, all the way up to 6 months between shipping. We set our plan up for 1 box of coffee every 6 weeks. Another thing I really like about Gevalia is the online account management. You can set up your future shipments dates online and then customize what you would like included. I like that you don’t have to order coffee every time, you can order tea too. Also, I like that you can vary the amount you get each shipment. It seems really nice so far.
Our first shipment arrived pretty quick, here is what we got for $10!

Stainless Steel Thermal Insulated Gevalia Coffee Carafe

Stainless Steel Thermal Insulated Gevalia Coffee Tumbler

The Gevalia Coffee! Peruvian Organic and Irish Cream

Gevalia Coffee Filters and scoop - We won't use the filters because they are bleached. We use a permanent filter.

The Gevalia Coffee Pot! This thing is huge...

Close up of controls on Gevalia Coffee Pot - You can program auto brewing times

Flip open lid for pouring water

Inside of Gevalia Coffee Pot - Brew Basket

Inside of Gevalia Coffee Pot - "Showerhead" water dispenser

The Pot - I dislike the pot but I love everything else
They also sent us a coupon for a free box of coffee up to $10 for our next shipment.
I saw this special St. Patrick’s Day offer on their website and I may order this and postpone the next shipment to make up for it. I love the glasses!

Gevalia St. Patrick's Day Special Offer
The introductory offer we got is not longer being offered though…sorry guys. However, I did receive this code to share with you guys. Still not a bad deal, $12.95 for an awesome coffee pot and good coffee!
Do you enjoy this blog? Feel free to thank me with a cup of coffee or tea! Amount is up to you.

You never did give your opinion of the Gevalia coffee offer. Are you still glad you joined? Is the coffee pot still working? How expensive is the rest of the coffee?

Hi Kevin. Yes, I’m still glad I joined. I’m still receiving shipments. The coffee isn’t too badly priced if you opt to only get one box every month or so. I get one box every two months. Its sort of like a special treat. My favorite so far is the dark chocolate truffle coffee. (I drink crappy Maxwell house every day that I don’t have Gevalia.) It would be way to expensive to drink just Gevalia because I drink over a pot of coffee every day. Most of the coffees are around $6.95 for 1 pound. Shipping is $5.95 per shipment. Which is pricey to me but I guess if you order more than one box it isn’t bad. The coffee pot is still working great. We received a travel mug coffee pot too for free and that is working great too. Its really come in handy for day trips and commutes to work. So far everything with Gevalia is great. No complaints. You do have to watch out for unexpected shipments though. They only happen when Gevalia introduces a brand new kind of coffee and they send you an email about a month ahead of time. If you don’t want it, you have to call them and let them know not to send it. If you do want it, don’t do anything. I warn you though, those are expensive as they send 3 boxes or more. I got screwed on that this week ($36) but its my fault as I ignored the email they sent letting me know it was coming in June. Now I know to make sure I read their emails and read them fully. Still, since it was my fault and not theirs I can’t say I’m upset with them for it. Plus, this is the first time it happened so now I know to watch out for it. If you have any other questions just let me know. I’ve gotten busy and let my blog slide as usual but hopefully soon I’ll get to updating it again. Thanks for the comment and questions!

I’m also a Gevalia subscriber. I don’t know if you tried this Maria, but you know they will refund your the price of the coffee if you aren’t satisfied. So if you ever receive coffee that you didn’t want, or you ordered some you didn’t like you can call them right up and let them know. According to their guarantee they will refund you the money! If anyone signs up through your link let me know what you think of that carafe they send you as a reward

Hello Harry, I know they do refunds. I thought about sending the coffees back but I actually decided to keep the 3 boxes of coffee and just postpone my next 3 shipments. So it all worked out. The coffee (Heritage Blend 1853) turned out to be pretty good too. We actually did receive the coffee carafe from Gevalia but it was included in our start up kit. I have a picture of it in this post. I love it. It keeps the coffee hot for a good 4 or 5 hours. If its really hot in the house it keeps even longer. We also received the twin twin travel mug coffee pot as a free gift for somebody signing up under us. I posted about that already here: http://misadventuresofmarla.com/addictions/we-got-a-freetwin-travel-mug-coffee-pot/
